Be Still AND Know

If you've been following along with us this week we've been talking about finding stillness in the chaos. Easier said than done, right?

In case you missed the previous videos and posts:

-Kellie reads Psalm 46 and offers some thoughts and reflections. He is our source of strength and our refuge!

-Jenn reflects on the Exodus story of Passover and how we can find our safe place and resting place in the shadow of the Almighty!

-Maggie picks up with the Exodus story at the banks of the Red Sea. She reminds us that the Lord will fight for us, all we need to do is to sit still.

Today, Paige takes the discuss of being still a bit deeper. In this video she shares more about Psalm 46 and gives some tips and thoughts about how we can rest and be still knowing that God is in control and has things already figured out.

Psalm 46 (NIV)

For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields[d] with fire. 10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
