THE NEED

From a recent email from a coordinator for the organization: "Heart for Texas was formed immediately after the storm, and we have housed and dispatched over 1500 volunteers from across the country.  Warehouse space is still being made available to us and donated materials are in good supply.  What we need is volunteers!  Although so much has been done, the truth is that sixty inches of rain fell on the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States!  The scale of this disaster is overwhelming. The latest estimates are that 40% of homes flooded by Harvey are still in disrepair. We praise God for all the volunteers and donated resources that have allowed us to assist in bringing over 200 families home already. However, Heart for Texas currently has over 150 homes in our queue still needing help with repairs. "
