ABOUT THE GARDEN

Our Community Garden is located on the west lawn, in the south corner. It began in 2018 as a dream we had with a few of our community members and neighbors. Our garden is a communal garden, which means that we all work together to make our garden wonderful; planning, planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting.

We have planted herbs, peppers, tomatoes, strawberries, lettuces, and other various veggies in past years. At harvest time, we have enjoyed the veggies and herbs in the shop and given away the bounty to our community.

This is our 5th year with the community garden, and we are excited to get the ball rolling for another great year In 2020, we were blessed with a generous grant from the Wichita Community Foundation, which will allow us to expand the garden and offer some educational events/experiences for our community.
